Story & Art Impact Lives ; Maria story from Melbourne Australia
hope you had a beautiful and non challenging week. I spent the week doing normal mom things such as laundry, packing shipping two large paintings to California, and starting two new small pieces. But the most enjoyable connection I had was with one of my instagram followers regarding how my piece Deep In The Forest resonated with her in a very impactful way. Please read her story below:
Challenges can be overcome with a positive outlook. We are in control of how things impact us and what we will do with this information. Maria vulnerability and strong determination has touched me. We never know when we will need to use that reserve of inner peace & calm. Have a beautiful week and until next Saturday when we chat again. Racquel
Blues, Greens, & Yellows Oh My
Blues, Greens, & Yellows Oh My Racquel Miller
Colors have a unique way to make you display feelings, thoughts, & memories. Some good and some not so good. We find in nature we are surrounded by these amazing colors that bring so much joy. Different shades of blues that can give you a calm feeling and make you feel all warm inside. Like you want to snuggle on the couch with a warm blanket watching a movie or outside sinking your feet in the sand and looking out among the waves. Green reminds us of life. It can be vibrant or dull, but when you think of green doesn't it remind you of grass or lush green trees. All these colors are meant to make us happy and bring us joy. And I find great pleasure in that. When having a bad day there is nothing like stepping outside for some fresh air and taking what is available right at our fingertips. This reminds me of watching my father everyday during the week he would come home and just water the grass. Maybe for hours, but it was his time. His way to decompress after a long day. Honestly it was so relaxing watching him just water the grass. Seeing the sunrays beaming through the water. If the grass was dull and brown with no color I don't think he would have had so much satisfaction watering it, but with the beautiful green color and water trickling on it put him at ease. We all have a calm inner peace and color, sound, nature, friends, family plays a major role in it.
Until next time. Enjoy!!
