Art history

When the urge calls me, I go exploring... I let my gaze pass through the window and behind the alternation of light platforms and the underground night, landscapes take shape, funny faces take shape, colors, lines, curves parade in the silence of my imagination.
At the last platform, I go down, with this desire and this deep energy of a future creation, two streets later, I enter the workshop... the smell of oil spreads; I put on my heavy apron stained with the weight of colors. I am ready.
There, in front of the canvas, my canvas, a dull dialogue takes place. My dreams, my imagination, the canvas like a virtual image.
A large brush, the colors that vibrate, it flows like a spring.
Shadow, light, movement, rhythm and already something embodied.
We can start talking to each other, feeling each other, hating each other and then reconciling, in short, inventing ourselves at any moment.

A man's story

For 10 years Patrick Couvreur has returned to painting. His work is in perpetual research, searching for colors, rhythm, light, searching for himself through his emotions.
His paintings are marked by diversity, diversity of themes, colors, styles.
However, they all contain an invisible part, “this quality of the poetic relationship between the artist and the world”.
