This ceramic composition presents a vibrant and unusual interpretation of a heavenly orchestra, crafted in a pop art style with elements of grotesque. The focal point is five angelic beings, each playing a musical instrument. Their expressive faces and colorful hairstyles give the sculpture a playful and slightly ironic character.
This ceramic composition presents a vibrant and unusual interpretation of a
heavenly orchestra, crafted in a pop art style with elements of grotesque. The
focal point is five angelic beings, each playing a musical instrument. Their
expressive faces and colorful hairstyles give the sculpture a playful and slightly
ironic character.
The angels are dressed in light, loose garments with gold and black accents,
adding both celestial grandeur and earthly familiarity. Their wings, though stylized,
emphasize their heavenly origins, while the choice of musical instruments—
trumpet, saxophone, violin, and French horn—adds dynamism and energy to the
scene. Each figure has its own individuality, making the sculpture not just a
decorative piece but a whole story full of humor and imagination.
This work may evoke associations with modern interpretations of angelic images
that, while remaining spiritual, are mixed with elements of mass culture and irony.
The figurine is perfect for those who appreciate bright and unusual works of art,
filled with symbolism and contemporary references.
Symbolism and Artistic Meaning:

piece, reflecting a modern perception of spirituality.
4 Bright Colors — symbolize the vitality and energy that permeate this
composition.

1 Expressive Angel Faces — each figure has a vividly expressed
individuality.
2 Musical Instruments — each instrument adds musical dynamism to the
scene.
3 Colorful Hairstyles — give the composition a modern and slightly
rebellious look.
4 Light Garments and Wings — retain elements of the traditional angelic
image, creating an interesting contrast with the other details.

Olga Sviridova is a contemporary artist based in Israel, known for her unique and colorful ceramic sculptures, which are inspired by her childhood. Born and raised in Soviet Ukraine, Sviridova discovered her passion for drawing at a young age. Her talent was quickly recognized, and she was advanced to the second grade at an art school, where she excelled and graduated with honors.

In 1999, Sviridova relocated to Israel, where she rediscovered her love for art. Inspired by the availability of materials in Israel, she initially experimented with painting and eventually moved into doll-making using polymer clay. Unsatisfied with the material, she transitioned to ceramic clay, which offered the flexibility and strength she needed to fully express her creativity.

Over the past four years, Sviridova has focused exclusively on ceramics, creating more than 50 pieces. Her work has been exhibited in Israeli galleries and has gained recognition for its vibrant and imaginative style.
