A shoal of 32 hand sawed goldfish, tied together to the GOLDEN FLOW.
This Shoal is made in 1mm brass.
The Golden Flow is an original and One of a Kind airy sculpture: The curves and delicate shine suggest the flow of water and give harmony to any environment.
When hung to the wall on one hook this flexible but sturdy sculpture becomes a 3 dimensional shape. If you want it flat to the wall just use more hooks.
I (hand) sawed the fish out of 1mm thick brass; I pierced them and then sanded them at both sides, piece by piece, and finally gave them a coating. Then I tied them together into the shoal shape with plated wire.
I designed the first 'Shoal' in 1995. It was followed by Shoal II and III (in zinc) and a series of three "LONG WAVES" in aluminum.
Weight of this copper Shoal: about 2000 grams
Measures (flat): H 179 cm, W 50 cm
Measures (hung at one hook): H 193 cm, W 40 cm, D 19
The sculpture is signed and bears its title and year of making.
