Après avoir travaillé la sculpture en acier soudé pendant une dizaine d'années Jean Claude JOLET propose depuis 1999,une oeuvre plastique basée sur la recherche forme matière. L'aluminium est son matériau de prédilection. Grace a des procédés de moulage personnels,la matiere s'exprime de facon aléatoire et prends des aspects organiques ou minéraux. La texture du métal participe directement aux tensions induites dans les volumes. Les formes, volontairement sobres, associées à d'autres médiums telle que la photo ou la poésie, d'autres éléments plus naturels, rendent visible des sensations souvent liées à l'existence de l'humain. La philosophie élémentaire, le rapport du corps à la nature, sont les sujets les plus évoqués dans les installations de cet artiste.
