Francesco Capello is a contemporary artist from Italy, renowned internationally for his mastery of hyper-realistic painting. His illustrious career spans numerous solo and group exhibitions, accolades, public commissions, and a recent inclusion of his artwork in the permanent collection of the Museu Europeu d'art Modern (MEAM) in Barcelona, Spain. Capello's classical approach to painting encompasses a wide range of subjects including portraits and still lifes, all meticulously rendered to capture the essence of people, places, and objects in natural and captivating light.

Capello's artistic journey began with his pursuit of an artistic education, culminating in his graduation from the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin, where he was honored with the prize reserved for the top students. His early career included teaching "Pictorial Disciplines" at the Arturo Martini Art School in Savona from 1970 to 1973, followed by a tenure at the Primo Liceo Artistico in Turin until 1994.

Throughout his career, Capello's fascination with image painting evolved, leading him to explore various figurative styles before fully embracing hyperrealism in the early 1970s. His unique approach to hyperrealism transcends mere replication of reality; it serves as a medium through which he engages with contemporary societal themes.
