Glossy finish

My life was rich and varied, I was born in Odessa, the city of humor and talent, on February 23, 1962. Since childhood, he loved to draw and dreamed of becoming an artist. I picked up my first pencil when I was three years old and have not parted with it ever since. It was my first step towards creativity, which became my life.
In the eighties of the last century, I graduated from the Odessa Theater and Art School, where I received basic knowledge of composition, color, perspective and other aspects of fine art and theatrical scenery. Then he entered the construction institute to study architecture and design. In the interval between gaining knowledge, I served in the Soviet army, which I am not particularly proud of ...
In 2011, he participated in the exhibition of the political poster "Stop Censorship!", where he expressed his attitude to the political situation in the country. I also took part in thematic exhibitions in Odessa, Kyiv, Lvov, where I showed my works of different genres and styles.
Having both an art and construction education helped me to fit into the creation of scenery for the cinema in the best possible way. I have worked as a set designer and production designer for various film studios and with various directors. For more than twenty years he worked in the film industry, creating the atmosphere and images for various films and series. I also staged performances based on plays by Branislav Nusic at the Odessa Academic Russian Drama Theater, as well as at the Mask Theater.
On February 24, 2022, my life changed. It was the day when Russia launched a full-scale military invasion of Ukraine, violating all international treaties and norms. The film industry in Ukraine froze. There was no understanding of how to work in a war.
But, remaining an artist, I continue to draw, make collages and installations, because I cannot live without creativity. This is my way of expressing myself, my thoughts, feelings, dreams. This is my way of being free and resisting aggression.
