The Human Body Between Dream and Reality
At the heart of art throughout the ages, the human body has served as a mirror of the soul and a measure of the world. This selection is situated precisely within that space of tension: a vibrant boundary between physical presence and inner vision, between observable reality and dreamlike memory.
The perspective explored here draws sensitively from the figurative tradition — yet it transcends it. These are not just bodies, but emotional landscapes, silences that speak, thresholds between worlds that don’t always align. In them, we hear the echoes of two major art movements: Realism, which returns the human to us in its rawest, most honest form, and Surrealism, which dives into the unconscious to reveal the invisible.
The works in this selection are distinguished by their ability to evoke a suspended state of feeling. The depicted figures seem to emerge from dreams while remaining anchored in flesh. Their lines are defined yet drifting, their gestures full yet never entirely decipherable.
The human figure becomes a silent language that speaks of identity, memory, and the human condition. The artist doesn’t merely represent — they question, explore, and heal. These compositions are imbued with a poetic tension between the concrete and the symbolic, as if each body were at once vulnerable and mythical, rooted in matter and reaching toward dream.
Body and Soul is far more than a selection — it is a visual meditation on existence. An invitation to rediscover the body as a threshold between the visible and the unspeakable, as an archive of dreams, wounds, and desires.
