Élisabeth d'Equainville, born in 1954, is a French artist based in Nice.
She left aside her true passion for fashion design to start a short career as a window dresser, but she missed drawing and eventually joined a school of fresco painters. She carries out numerous projects on the Côte d'Azur, decorative painting, facades, trompe l'oeil, etc...
She opens her own workshop on the heights of Nice to devote herself entirely and definitively to her passion and live it to the full.
Her paintings are fleshed out with material and resin and after a few exhibitions begin to sell.
Then she gradually comes to 3D and attacks sculpture. Self-taught in this field, she searches, gropes, perfects herself to finally find her way, which suits her best: resin.
As in her paintings, one theme predominates: the Pump. For what ? Fetish object? Relentless passion for fashion? The artist's small stature? No one knows, but Elisabeth shakes up the codes of fashion, luxury and originality so that each of her works tells a story.
