Much of my work is created for the purpose of stirring up the imagination. I believe it is important for people to draw their own conclusions about what artists present as art, rather than reading an artist's statement and deciding if they "get it" or not. The artist's opinion of his/her own work is no more valuable than anyone in the audience of that art. It is in everyone's best interest to disregard artist's statements and approach art with a clear and open mind. You will always "get it" if you understand that the only opinion you must understand is you own.
