Ben & Sara are French artists, living and working in Occitanie. Their artistic work is oriented around new societal issues leading to upheavals or the transformation of existing balances. Very attentive to developments in society, Ben & Sara constantly question individual and collective relationships with modernity. Their work also draws on sociology and more generally the human sciences in order to establish perspectives through their photographs or their texts. The dystopian or absurd treatment constitutes a strong point in the apprehension of their productions.
Sara graduated in Sociology from the University of Perpignan and in Political Science from Sciences Po Strasbourg. Specializing in political sociology, she has conducted various research on the actors of organized civil society. From 2014, she engaged in a collaboration with Ben to form a duo.
Ben started photography in 2005 after completing urban planning studies. It collaborates with the SIPA Press agency, allowing it to be distributed in the national press, notably Les Échos, Le Nouvel Economiste and Magazine Marianne. He was more recently administrator of an Art and Photography Center in the South of France.
