Assunta Cassa is a contemporary Italian artist. Assunta Cassa has created her unique figurative language through extensive exploration of color and the segmentation of visual space, a consequence of the pixelated fragmentation found in digital imagery. This artistic approach primarily relies on chromatic contrasts, serving as a conduit for conveying the artist's vibrant energy and emotional depth.

The fragmented and reassembled forms within her works undergo a meticulous process employing a distinctive spatula technique. Through this method, Assunta masterfully balances the materiality and subtle nuances of oil on canvas.

Her creative lexicon emerges as a harmonious fusion of digital and classical art, infusing the pixelated image with a human warmth that stems from the artist's skillful intervention. The genesis of her artworks is rooted in the contemplation of today's bustling reality, where the digital realm often parallels, and at times eclipses, our physical lives.

This thematic exploration gives rise to compelling depictions of metropolitan landscapes, where the typically gray urban horizons are invigorated with a burst of vivid colors. These cityscapes also feature solitary figures who, though immersed in their aloneness, represent the heartbeat of existence, capturing intricate details that often elude our hurried gaze.

In addition to her urban compositions, Assunta Cassa also dedicates her artistic prowess to portraiture. Here, pixels adorned with luminous, textured hues serve as a conduit for expressing the multifaceted inner worlds and intricate complexities of the individuals depicted.
