Before us is a picture - the bottom of the ocean, and at this bottom a petrified statue of someone who was probably once strong, the one who was King. And we see a ship sunken, destroyed by the sea and time. And guns clogged with sand. And around the endless beauty of life. And the name of the picture "Mene, Mene, Tekel, Uparsin." Translated from the Bible, these words mean "You are weighed and found too light, and your Kingdom will be taken away from you." These are the words from the Bible, from the book of the Prophet Daniel. They were written on the wall of the Temple, unknown from where the hand appeared in the hour of the feast of one of the insignificant kings who in his eyes considered himself equal to Heaven.
MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPARSIN.
No matter how man ascends himself in his eyes and in the gases of society, he and his greatness will be washed away by the Ocean of history, everything will calm down on the bottom of the Ocean of time and we will all become too easy before all-powerful Time. And only the beauty of the world created by God will be still alive and uneventful.
The painting is specially aged and light cracks are made on it. This should show the viewer the infinity of time.
