Vadim Ponomarenko (Vadisİst) is a contemporary Russian artist. Vadim was born in 1968 in the Saratov region. In 1983, he graduated with honors from the Mineralnye Vody Art School. He dreamed of becoming an architect, but life turned out differently, and Vadim received an education in economics.

Despite his daily workload, Vadim always gravitated toward creativity and continued to improve his artistic skills by attending the additional art education department of the Moscow Center for Art and Design at the Russian Academy of Arts and the Saratov Art School named after A.P. Bogolyubov.

Vadim studied the properties of oil and acrylic, was engaged in wood painting and illustration.

In 2022, having moved to Turkey, Vadim made drawing his main activity. Currently, Vadim creates most of his works in the graphic avant-garde style and in the sketching style. In graphics, he is attracted by the laconicism and clarity of lines, strokes, and geometrically verified intersection of planes. Sketching allows you to catch and capture a moment, convey its atmosphere and mood.

Vadim's works are based on historical and mythical subjects, as well as on impressions from visiting architectural monuments and theatrical productions.
