Cycle “Drawings for meditation“. 1993-1994. In 1993, Nikolai Sednin conducted a creative experiment in which the task was to test the idea, designated by him as "the effect of the released hand." The works were created with a blindfold brush on paper, and each image was performed within a few seconds. Later, the works were collected in a single cycle, called “Drawings for meditation.” In 1995, the publishing house “Version“ published a book “Drawings for meditation”, which were collected 40 works. As a result of the experiment, Nikolai Sednin came to the idea of a possible purposeful change of consciousness in the process of creativity. The cycle formed the basis for the development of the author's methodology for the rehabilitation of the psyche in the process of creativity and direction "Dee-Art".

From 1984 to 2019, the artist created more than 1000 paintings, drawings, sculptures, and photographs, many of which were included in Russian and foreign Museum and gallery collections. In 2018, the House Museum of Nikolai Sednin was opened in Russia.

He is the Honorary President of the International Academy of contemporary arts (since 2019). Chairman of the Artists Trade union of Russia (since 2020), Chairman of the Editorial Board of the international prize "ELITARCH" (since 2013), Chairman of the jury of the international competition "Art. Excellence. Awards."
