In dieser Installation habe ich 20 Facetten meiner alten Identität dargestellt, die durch den Migrationsprozess sichtbar wurden und letztendlich zusammenbrachen.
Diese Installation wurde für die Ausstellung "Estehale-Transformation" geschaffen, die im Juli 2021 im Forum Migration im Museumsquartier Osnabrück in Deutschland stattfand.
Das Werk konzentriert sich auf die Idee der Selbstmasken als Symbol für die Transformation der Identität während des Migrationsprozesses.
Ich bin fest davon überzeugt, dass unsere Identität maßgeblich durch verschiedene Einflüsse wie Gesellschaft, Bildung, Kultur, Familie und Wohnort geprägt wird.
Oft übernehmen wir unbewusst Eigenschaften und Merkmale, ohne sie bewusst zu wählen.
Diese vorgegebene Identität kann uns in gewisser Weise einschränken und daran hindern, unser volles Potenzial zu erreichen.
Durch meine eigene Migration nach Deutschland habe ich erfahren, wie ein Neuanfang in einer fremden Umgebung mir half, mich von meiner alten Identität zu lösen und mich bewusst neu zu definieren.
Nach dem ersten Brand wurde diese Maske bei einer Temperatur von 1160 Grad Celsius glasiert.

Saman's artistic journey began with his studies in art and communication, where he focused particularly on the subject of self-portraiture.
Through the media of drawing, painting and sculpture, he captured his personal development and contemporary perception.
This approach helped him to break away from the past and develop further.
After Saman was able to distance himself from topics such as identity, culture, home, religion and relationships, he was able to better understand the existential fears that strongly influence human life.
From this knowledge, he was able to live his life authentically and originally.
Saman's works of art, which have been created over the course of his life, reflect his attitude to life and his presentness.
Mindfulness and sustained attention play an important role in his creative process.
