Glossy finish

Robert Gibson was born in Dunoon in Scotland in 1948. He was educated in Art schools in England and has been painting for more than fifty years. He started his higher education at Farnham School of Art first, before completing it at Maidstone College of Art at the end of the sixties and the beginning of the seventies.
The inspiration for his work is varied, from the painting of nudes to the world of sport as well as fashion and literature. An Esthete like most artists, the world around him is a source of inspiration by itself. His classical training can be seen in his painting of nudes, that require an accomplished technique to depict the effect of light and surrounding environment on the models painted.
