Pour un photographe il est souvent paradoxal d'accepter et encore plus de faire en sorte que ses photos soient floues. Dans la série « Ghosts », j’ai choisi de travailler sur le thème des disparitions. Pas les plus douloureuses, telles que la perte d'un proche, mais plutôt celles que j'appellerai les petites disparitions du quotidien. Les instants [...]
Pour un photographe il est souvent paradoxal d'accepter et encore plus de faire en sorte que ses photos soient floues.
Dans la série « Ghosts », j’ai choisi de travailler sur le thème des disparitions.
Pas les plus douloureuses, telles que la perte d'un proche, mais plutôt celles que j'appellerai les petites disparitions du quotidien.
Les instants que notre cerveau capte, emmagasine dans notre mémoire, pour pouvoir ensuite les transformer à sa guise, dans ce que nous appelons nos souvenirs.
J’ai senti que les mouvements des artistes, musiciens, danseurs, chanteurs, circassiens et autres, sont particulièrement propices à ce petit jeu là.
Ils s’effacent peu à peu derrière leurs instruments, leurs prestations, au profit des traces qu’ils vont laisser dans notre mémoire, et des souvenirs que notre inconscient va produire.
A la fin du spectacle, leur petite disparition nous aide à peupler, hanter notre esprit.
Le jeu ne s’arrête pas à la scène du spectacle, mais s’opère aussi parfois à l’occasion d’autres moments fugaces du quotidien.
J’ai poussé le paradoxe encore plus loin en faisant non pas des clichés flous des le départ, mais, comme l’aurait fait notre inconscient, en recréant le flou à partir de clichés nets.

The series of photos of the "Mini-adventures" are intended as snapshots with absurd humour, often reflecting in the background real-life situations.
Pierre Duquoc is a self-taught artist, he lives and works in Athis-Mons (France). He has participated in many exhibitions. His series “Les Minipéripéties”, exhibited several times, earned him a nomination for the 2011 Arcimboldo prize organized by the “Gens d'image” association and the “Swiss Life” foundation.
