Emilio Pérez Romero is an experienced artist based in Spain whose paintings have been widely exhibited nationwide. The urban, rural and natural landscapes of it also capture people who pass by spontaneously. Romero captures a reality that is based mainly on color, giving importance to composition and light. He most often creates using oil or  acrylics on canvas.

"Becoming an artist has been for me the natural consequence of the needs and desires to learn and progress in the artistic world.  Artistic expression is one of the most primitive manifestations of the human being, which has been used to assert himself and find a place in the world.
The theme that I have used the most has been the environment of my city, Granada. Urban, rural and natural landscapes, as well as the people who spontaneously pass through these places.
In particular, I am very attentive in representing the balance between people and the environment in which they live, because today that balance is often broken. When I represent landscapes without people, I hope that it is the spectator himself who, when contemplating the scene, is drawn to that place, as if he were there.
My work has been continually evolving due to my need to learn and improve. My way of painting has adapted to my way of seeing reality. In my beginnings I found that realism in the details and perfection of the drawing, without giving great prominence to color. Later I begin to capture reality based on color, without going into detail to get a better global vision. I have always given prominence to composition and light.
As for the technique, I use acrylics and lately oil, because I really like their material consistency."
