For the collage series "Shadow, Light and Self Image" the artist Palirina turned to art therapy and meditative practice, creating as a result 3 collages about herself. Three interconnected concepts that describe different aspects of the artist's personality and her self-image.
The first collage is about the shadow side as a representation of the qualities that the artist denies in herself. The second collage is the self-image - Palirina's personal representation of herself. And the third collage - the light side as the best version of the personality.

Ирина Сафронова, она же Палирина, современная белорусская художница. Она эколог, который использует коллаж, ассамбляж и смешанную технику для изучения таких вопросов, как экология, передовые технологии и будущее направление развития человека. Как защитник окружающей среды, она сокращает количество отходов, образующихся на протяжении всего творческого процесса. Палирина перепрофилирует все возможные остатки, в том числе трудно перерабатываемые микроэлектронные биты, в элементы новых произведений искусства. Как автор она ценит в своих произведениях гармонию и чувство эстетического равновесия.

J'ai jeté un nouveau regard sur ma peinture et j'ai vraiment vu les feuilles dorées et l'hiver enneigé dans la suite ! C'est comme le cycle des saisons et l'irréversibilité du changement dans nos vies ! Mon imagination s'est emballée et c'est grâce à vous !
