This painting is a classic composition of the always relevant genre - still life. "Glass decanter and lemons" is executed in oil on imprimatura in the favourite technique of the old masters. The plot is laconic, excludes excesses and speaks only about the main thing. The essence of this composition combines objects of opposite types. Fragile and delicate crystal absorbed all shades of yellow lemons and draperies of noble blue colour. The aim of this work is to fulfil a technical task, namely to paint glass and create the illusion of space. The lustre and transparency of the glass look very winning in this work. The painting demonstrates the high skill of the artist. It can favourably complement any collection of paintings.

Olena Kucher is a contemporary Ukrainian artist. Born with a passion for painting, Olena's journey as an artist has been marked by her dedication to realism and the meticulous use of oil as her preferred medium. Her creations delve into vintage and antique themes, capturing the imagination of art enthusiasts with a keen interest in the past. Her still life paintings, in particular, have become a focal point of public admiration, drawing attention to the exquisite details and emotions embedded in each piece.

Olena's artistic roots extend back to the 17th century Dutch painters, whose works continue to inspire her. It is this connection to the past that makes oil painting her medium of choice. Her preference for noble and muted colors on the palette adds a timeless quality to her pieces, echoing the aesthetic charm of the Dutch masters she admires. To maintain authenticity, Olena paints exclusively from life, utilizing oil paints with natural pigments on carefully selected cotton canvases.

Currently, she dedicates her time to creating art in her private studio, where her creativity flourishes in a space tailored to her vision.
