Natalie Roy is an illustrative artist working mainly in charcoal, ink and pencil..
From a young age, drawing became a dominant form of expression and allowed a voice amid her shyness. With limited schooling, most of her art education has been self taught by studying art history and past artists’ techniques. Her works are influenced by myth and the natural world, as well as the esoteric.
Tending toward basic monochromatic themes in her works harkens back to her admiration of engravings, woodcuts and book illustration.
After a long time of inactivity, she has begun sketching again in the hopes of reconnecting to the art world and sharing her past and contemporary pieces.
Natalie grew up and currently resides in southern Ontario, Canada.
