I was brought up, like most children from intelligent families, that showing a fig is indecent. So, it is ... but please admit there are circumstances when one really wants to show such a sign of disrespect to some organization or someone personally ... it happens, but let it remain a little secret for a small circle of close friend 😉.
While drawing this expressive drawing, I thought that, perhaps, this could be a wonderful gift for someone who annoyed you, deceived you or harmed you anyway. In the old days in Russia, this gesture was not considered indecent and was considered protecting from someone's evil eye or evil spirits. In Soviet times, the expression "a fig in a pocket" became a sign of dissidence, internal disagreement, a kind of hypocrisy and protest with what was happening.
Personally, for me this is, in general, a sign of deep inner disagreement and disrespect, albeit in a hidden, veiled form.
