Najma Soonasra

I find painting a relaxing and meditative process. Time flies by when I'm painting. I never know where a painting is going to take me as I work intuitively and let the painting emerge with very little planning. I don't have a formal art background but always liked art and drawing. I took up painting a few years ago and am enjoying the journey as my art and style changes and develops.  I took some drop-in evening classes in portrait and laife drawing and went on to do a BTec for one day a week however this was cut short after the forst term due to Covid and doing art on Zoom is not as good as being in the studio. I'm working on my first exhibition at a local gallery.
