Original Artwork refers to any work that is considered authentic and not a copy or imitation of the original works of an artist. Original artwork can be any type of painting, sculpture, performance, or other media. There are many types of original media. Mixed media includes oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings. For workshop paintings that bear evidence of master craftsmanship, this attribution must be further qualified. While they may be less valuable for different reasons, reproductions and copies have had a tremendous impact on our experience. They reach a greater audience than originals and act as a tonic against commodification. Original Artwork could also refer to the first work, which is always preceding all others. It could also refer to a prototype or a model from which other works can be made. Each work bears great similarities to the original.

Dominique est bien connu dans le monde associatif. Fondateur de Kokopelli qui depuis 20 ans distribue gratuitement des semences potagères anciennes ou rares pour faire vivre la biodiversité agricole. Tout cela grâce à un réseau militant de producteurs, d’adhérents, de parrains et marraines qui permettent de maintenir une collection planétaire unique de plus de 2200 variétés. En 2007, elle distribuait 550 variétés de tomates, 300 variétés de piments, 130 variétés de laitues, 150 variétés de courges et 50 d’aubergines ! Chaque année Kokopelli distribue gratuitement près de 200 colis de semences aux communautés rurales, associations ou ong.

Ces semences sont produites par les adhérents de l’Association et les “parrains“ et marraines : pour l’une d’elle, Meiyna Vernet, “Produire, offrir, échanger des semences, c’est un acte de résistance qui permet de favoriser la biodiversité cultivée, de préserver notre patrimoine génétique, en cultivant des variétés anciennes, reproductibles et menacées de disparition, de retrouver notre autonomie alimentaire en récoltant nos propres graines et en cessant d’acheter des graines chaque année, d’entrer dans une dynamique d’échanges et de solidarité, de privilégier des semenciers qui travaillent réellement à la sauvegarde des variétés, et d’œuvrer à l’adaptation des variétés existantes et créer de nouvelles variétés“.

Technic Drawing

Drawing is a technique of visual representation on a flat support. The term "drawing" designates both the action of drawing, the resulting graphic work, and the shape of any object. It is also a representation on a surface of the shape (and possibly the light and shadow values) of an object or figure, rather than their color. There are a large number of drawing techniques: “Linear drawing” represents objects by their outlines, edges and some characteristic lines; beyond this limit, the drawing develops by representing the volume by shadows, often by means of hatching, incorporates colors, and joins, without clear transition, the painting.

Michel Guillet, versatile artist, has been a figurative pastellist since January 2010. He is an active member of the “Pastel en Dauphiné” association. His artistic passion leads him to explore a multitude of varied motifs without being confined to a specific theme. Whether portraits, landscapes, still lifes or reproductions of works of art, Michel Guillet likes to capture the diversity of the world around him through his pastels.

What particularly sets Michel apart is his commitment to sharing his art with the public. During exhibitions, he engages in live demonstrations, offering visitors an insight into his creative process. He enjoys interacting with “admirers” of his work, informing them about his techniques and sometimes inviting them to actively participate in his demonstrations.

Michel Guillet is self-taught, but he prefers to consider that each of us has artistic talents that are just waiting to be revealed. He believes in everyone's ability to explore their creativity and let their talents flourish with a little practice and support.

Since his retirement in Aix-les-Bains at the beginning of 2012, Michel Guillet has enjoyed the time necessary to discover the splendors of the Alps and devote himself fully to his two passions: pastels and photography, where he excels as a 'amateur. His art reflects his love for the diversity of the world and his desire to share his creativity with the public.
