Laurent Ringeval is a professional photographer whose work depicts freedom, or its absence, and all the social themes that challenge him: dehumanization, non-respect of consent, normalization of bodies, ecology.
His projects also evoke the freedom to dispose of his body, to expose it, to accept it in its difference, its sexuality, its beauty. A body that can also be an object or a material for aesthetic research.
He photographs people who are often naked, without taboos, who assume responsibility, bodies he does not judge. He likes to work with meaning, that the emotion is perceptible, that the body develops its own language. A material that he prefers, imbued with the experience and emotions of the model. It guides but it also leaves a large part to spontaneity.
Laurent Ringeval is a French self-taught artist. He says he is influenced by Jeanloup Sieff, Helmut Newton, Laurent Benaim and Nobuyoshi Araki . His work has been published in many magazines (Photo magazine, Vogue Italia, Albimage ….). His work is present in many private collections.
