Monumental sculptural piece which features a horse head standing on its snout.
A wonderful sculpture, light in weight and in appearance. Cosé Manzano hammered it totally by hand and the most significant of the piece is the skin like appearance. In fact the horse head is only suggested, like a sheet of wet cloth, smoothly drawn to a horse's head: but where's the horse?
This is a new line Cosé is working on, fascinated by the skin-like outer shell. He started with a horse mask, then went on sculpting a series of horse's heads' fragments, to end up with this extraordinary zinc horse head.
Very interesting feature is the way the head is semi-attached to the steel 9 mm base: high power magnets hold it firmly on its place, but you can still take it off.
