It is perhaps difficult to see it in the swirl of the oil-spattered colors on the panel. But there is. Indeed it seems to see that light and wavering rocking of the falling feather. A sketch just, a white ‘svirgolata’ between the chromatic exuberance. The soft, yet clean sign of the feather attracts all the attention of the beholder. Who knows if Mauro Saviola, in realizing this work, deliberately imprinted this brushstroke or she flew by chance among the colors as only the feather can do? We will never know, but we like to think that, intentionally or not, this sign is the gentle breath of the beautiful soul of those who traced it.
