"5x5x5. Ceramics Without Borders" exhibition opening in Vilnius.

Baltic states ceramican cooperation started in 2007 when there were Kaunas International Ceramics Symposium " Reduction". Once again, in this exhibition will feature five artists from the Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.

In 2008. April there was the first visible cooperation, which resulted in Kaunas Ceramics museum - the first Estonian and Latvian exhibition. The second collection was presented at the symposium in Riga (Latvian Artists Union Gallery). And in 2010. November in Tartu (Estonia Artists Union Gallery) and later in Tallin, there finally was exhibition, where the paticipants was form all 3 Baltic countrys.

Exhibition organizers and initiators are Viive Väljaots, Ineta Greiža, Sanita Mickus, Juris Bergins, Živilė Bardzilauskaitė - Bergins and Dive Ramoškaitė. Organizers are stimulating the need for experimentations, encourages and inspirates authors, promotes provocative ideas and discusses about ceramics insudtry improvement.

This year's exhibition will be in the gallery Pamėnkalnio and exhibition will try to go out of ceramics borders, that will encourage artists to move from the traditional thinking on contemporary ceramics. Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian artists are still using ceramics as a form of expression, using ceramic materials and tools, however, borrowing and gaining inspiration from other areas of art expression.

Opening of the exhibition will be presented at the recent International Ceramics Symposium "Reduction" 2013 catalog .
