La culture lébou est riche en festivités telles que le Ndawrabine et le Goumbé, principales danses lors des cérémonies et rituels de la communauté. Il s'agit d'une forme de procession accompagnée d'une chorégraphie, où se mêlent les jeunes souvent appartenant à une même génération.
Les femmes portent deux grands Boubous de tons de couleurs différents qui s’envolent avec les mouvements du corps.Concernant les accessoires, les femmes portent des pendentifs de perles traditionnelles de couleurs différentes, des colliers de matières d’orée et argenté, appelés libidor, elles portent aussi des bijoux, appelés Diibé en deux tons de couleurs rouge et jaunes.
En tant qu'artiste, il ajoute sa propre touche en intégrant des objets venant de la mer comme les coquillages ou autres, pour montrer la relation qui existe entre la mer et le peuple lébou.

Ibrahima Gningue est un artiste plasticien, né en 1982 à Dakar. Il est diplômé de l’école national des arts de Dakar en 2005, option Plasticien D’expression.
D’origine lébou, son travail se nourrit de sa culture et de son ethnie. Les costumes sublimes et accessoires sont les pièces centrales de ses oeuvres hautes en couleurs s'inspirent des danseuses du Goumbé et de Ndawrasquine.
Les visages de ses personnages sont peints en blanc car ils passent en second plan et rappellent les faces albâtres, grimées des personnages lors du tadjébone qui est une fête typiquement sénégalaise.
Ibrahima a participé à de nombreuses expositions et projets en Afrique et en Europe, dont la biennal Dak’ art en off.
