Portus Ojomo was born at ILE-IFE Nigeria in 1952. Painter, sculptor of monumental arts. graduated at the Royal academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, Belgium.1974-1979
His training was based on the values of western mainly European history in the arts and intermingled the African art tradition with the dominant western culture in the arts.
Commissioned official collection bronze bas-relief for the inauguration of the 60years anniversary of "CV Onze woning in Antwerp Belgium 1989
Commissioned bronze bas-relief for Jos Verhelst Square in Antwerp Belgium in 1998
Commissioned and executed a 45m2 mural painting depicting he history of the Belgian Post at the Antwerp X in 2009
Work selected to represent Nigeria for the 2010 FIFA International Fine Arts in South Africa
Awarded the Emile Vandervelde Prize for creativity Kapelen Belgium in 2010
