Portus Ojomo was born in 1952 in Nigeria. Painter and Sculptor in monumental arts. Studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, Belgium and the Instituto Allende, San Miguel, Mexico. A contemporary artist who evolved and integrated the African art tradition with the dominant western culture in the arts.
The vibrant expression and strong contrasting colours gives his paintings thier special renown. Has had several commissioned monumental works for official and private entities in Belgium. Selected for the Fifa International Fine Arts in 2010. Won a few awards and prizes with his works.
