This stunning painting evokes the many faces and emotions of our complex human nature.
There is a slight Egyptian theme with the Eye of Horus & Eye of Ra with a resemble to the Egyptian death mask of Tutankhamun- King Tut ancient Egyptian pharaoh who was the last of his oral family to rule during the 18th Dynasty during the New Kingdom of Egyptian history.
The long striking blue face holds an intense stare right into your soul, the golden helmet evokes of ancient Greek headgear for an important military figure.
Then we have the many smaller faces in-between which are almost theatre like displaying our many emotions of sadness, joy, shock or horror.
You can interpret what you will of this painting when you look at it? What kind of emotions are stirred upon looking at it. We hope you enjoy gazing upon this art piece wherever you decide to hang it.
Best wishes,
Artist, Colm Hughes

Hi, I am an Irish Artist living in central Europe for over ten years now. I am inspired by the beauty of the world around me every day and in everyday encounters, fellow artists, nature itself, and architecture of our surrounding built environment. I take my inspiration from my Celtic heritage and culture along with ideas and artistic creations from Ancient Egyptian, Japanese, Ancient Roman, Comic books and the world of music and culture. I have always been creative and there is a joy in creating taking your artistic ideas and turning it in a real and physical piece of art. Every piece of artwork has its own unique journey. As the phrase goes "Man cannot remake himself without suffering for he is both the marble and the sculpture"- Alexis Carrell. Keep creating and learning from that creative experience because you not only create art you learn something in the process, I would hope that everyone who looks at my art has some positive emotion evoked and enjoys the art itself. Best wishes, Colm Hughes
