The sculpture "Fucking Ego" by Brazilian artist Beto Gatti is a provocative and masterfully crafted piece in bronze. It presents a human skull adorned with oversized, stylized ears, reminiscent of a well-known cartoon character, which immediately invokes a playful yet poignant critique of vanity and self-importance. The bronze material gives the sculpture a timeless quality, while the bold title etched upon the skull's forehead challenges the viewer to reflect on the role of ego in human nature and societal interactions. This artwork is a powerful statement piece, combining cultural iconography with a deep commentary on the human condition.

Beto Gatti is a contemporary Brazilian sculptor and photographer. Gatti has worked in international campaigns for global brands and in editorials for prestigious magazines such as Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, GQ, L’Oreal and Mercedes Benz. Cristiano Ronaldo was photographed by Gatti for his jeans brand.

As an artist, he participated in major fairs such as Art Basel, Hamptons NYC, ArtRio, SPArt and ArtSampa. Gatti was invited to be the art director of a project for Yves Saint Laurent and to be the only Brazilian artist with an exclusive work of art created just for Qatar World Cup.

Recently Gatti has started creating his Pop Art sculptures. His sculptures evoke restlessness, which causes us to contemplate and daydream. He makes frequent connections between the aspects of time and technology that pervade social life while also bringing up topics that are troubling him now.

Beto Gatti was born in 1986, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
