Transcendence is a series of paper sculptures that serve as gateways to higher dimensions. It uses architecture with geometry and transcends into mystical places that have intrigued men for ages. Places beyond our realms of life, of inner peace and bliss, of secrets and buried treasures that unfold with the prismatic union of shapes and colors.
The intricate arches are the point of ingress, each shaped differently and giving a glimpse of what lies beyond. The designs set the stage for light and shadow to weave dramatic scenes that entice the viewer to step closer and be teleported to mesmerizing dimensions. Each artwork is titled with an apt idiom leaving the meaning open to interpretation.

Spectral Matrix is a collection of nine vivid paper artworks that decipher complex geometry through selective use of the color spectrum. Different color palettes and how they are used at various levels of the structure unveils mesmerizing patterns. The play of light & shadow orchestrates dramatic outcomes, turning chaos into beautiful prismatic arenas. The titles of the artworks are evident of what this union of geometry and colors reveals.

As kids we all loved looking into a Kaleidoscope and being entranced by the simple glass pieces unfolding into infinite mesmerizing designs. We were often so enchanted with a pattern, we didn't want the inner pieces to move and disturb the design. That is the essence I wanted to capture in my artwork. My goal was to create something so enchanting, you just couldn't move your eyes from it, something that would make you, the viewer, feel fascinated and hypnotized as you try to decode the secrets it holds

These paper sculptures are inspired by the formation of snow crystals and the phenomenon of how a journey and experience shapes something. Every snowflake is one of a kind. This distinctiveness is due to its lone journey through the atmosphere all the way to the ground. Its unique path molds its individuality.
Through these artworks I have explored the fantasy of what if the crystals captured what they witnessed. A memory frozen and etched within its heart that blooms into its structure and colors.

Biography
Zubin Jhaveri is a contemporary Mumbai-based paper sculptor and designer. Graduating from art college marked the beginning of a profound journey of self-discovery and expression for him. It was during this transformative period that Scaled Dimensions emerged, a manifestation of his quest for profound significance in art, aimed at dismantling the conventional boundaries of dimensions to transport viewers into mesmerizing realms.
As an artist, Zubin thrives on experimentation, constantly expanding his repertoire of skills. His artistic journey commenced with the creation of photo-realistic portraits and intricate scale models, evolving into the realm of designing 3D puzzles and crafting paper sculptures. Despite traversing diverse mediums over the years, paper remains Zubin's cornerstone for articulating his vision, rooted in his childhood hobby of paper modeling that blossomed into a consuming passion.
Zubin's artistic ethos revolves around infusing forgotten subjects with his distinctive perspective, unearthing multifaceted layers within them. This inclination towards exploration from various vantage points reflects in the serial nature of much of his work. Each project typically spans a year, during which Zubin diligently endeavors to imbue it with increasing intricacy and vibrancy, surpassing the previous endeavor.
In recent years, Zubin has dedicated himself to his most ambitious projects yet, notably 'Spectral Matrix' and 'Transcendence', which have captivated his creative energies for the past two years.
