Yasemin Karabenli is a contemprorary surrialist figurative artist who’s born in İstanbul and studied illustration in Toronto Ontario College of Art and Design.
She also studied under the guidance of various artist in many different mediums and has worked in stained glass as well.She also interested in photography and ceramic.But her passion is painting and drawing.
One of her drawing’s limited prints (dervish with a rose) sold almost all around the world.
She had several exhibitions in Canada between 1984-1987
Almost every year she traveled around Europe with her family and viewed great works of art till she settled in Turkey(a very lovely town called Marmaris).Wherever she travelled was another constant source of inspiration for her.Then she opened up an art gallery and a boutique restaurant in 1988.Last 22 years she has been working and creating in her own art gallery.
She had an other exhibition with her daughter (eyes never lies) in 2008.
She’s also working as a decorater;worked with the major of Marmaris and colored the town in 2009.
Some of her works took place in an Itallian Modern Art Catalogue in 2010.
