My name is Yann Rosiere, I am a painter living in Paris, France. I have always been passionate about creation. I have devoted myself to painting for around ten years, after a first professional career which allowed me to move abroad several times and travel the world. Speaking French, Portuguese, Arabic and English, the mixture of influences and cultures have long permeated my perception of the world.
It was during a long period of expatriation of almost 10 years in Lisbon in Portugal that I decided to stop my professional activity and began the study of painting, drawing and plastic arts. I first followed traditional training in painting and drawing, then I joined the painting course at Ar.Co. Joining Ar.Co was a unique opportunity to practice painting intensively, and to follow education in the history and philosophy of Art. Since my return to Paris in 2022, I have continued my development by participating in training courses such as the drawing and painting classes of live models at the Beaux-Arts de Paris (NABA).
C& #039;is in the popular art of comics and street art as figurative or abstract graphic representations, raw and uninhibited that I draw a large part of my influences. I work simultaneously on different figurative and abstract approaches, immersive and impulsive, in painting and drawing, some fueling and others in a kind of kinetic creative dynamic. I generally work two parallel series of opposing styles on related themes in order to create this dynamic.
Today I create works of art where the place of the human being in front of his environment social or natural is at the center of my thinking. I sometimes work in oil but mainly in acrylic, gouache and colored pencils. As a comic book lover, I like the aesthetics and the staging present in the general plan of certain single-image plates of traditional comics. These very special comic strips which could have a graphic destiny independent of the work from which they come, while retaining within them the dramaturgy of their story.
