Biography
Working predominantly with oil painting and water color, scholar and artist Yan Liu has been able to contribute her take on themes regarding portrait, plant, animal, still life and scenery through her on-going practice. Born in 1981 in Nanjing, China, Liu studied at the Warburg Institute and School of Fine Arts, Nanjing Normal University, where she received her MA in 2015 and is pursuing her PhD in art history. She currently lives and works in Nanjing, China.
