I have always been fascinated by the complex, ever changing nature of human cultures, and the impact years of human advancement has had on our society.

Filament is a collection of digital, contemporary, abstract expressionism that explores, in a unique way, our human cultural and societal concepts, norms and challenges that form the filaments of modern society.

Using beautifully and intricately detailed abstractions of colours, patterns and forms, Filament reimagines and captures the material and immaterial customs of our society (such as marriage, family, wealth, climate change and politics) by juxtaposing them with technology as a subplot. The result is a collection of beautiful and awe inspiring pieces that draw you into it's world and detail.

Digital print on paper, 2022.

With a BSc (Hons) in Architecture, Victor experiments with different mediums and styles and prefers not to be defined by a specific medium or material in his expression. His art is spontaneous and fluid and characterized by dynamic and often abstract compositions with unique imagery. His work utilizes color, contrast, forms, textures and patterns to explore themes on the human condition, social issues, the natural world and the intersection of technology and society as well as its role in shaping our social and existential experiences.

Victor is still in the beginning phase of his artistic career but has bold ambitions of exhibiting in some of the world’s most prominent galleries and communicating his views on society and the world through art. He hopes, through his works, to dialogue with viewers, communicate new perspectives on familiar topics and prompt reflection on the human condition in the digital age.

He's inspired by the ever changing nature of all things and the personal desire to seek more knowledge about the world. He's also inspired by the works of Jackson Pollock, Leonardo Da Vinci and Frank Lloyd Wright amongst others.
