Born on January 8, 1958, in Jacarilla (Alicante), his childhood and adolescence were spent in Elda, currently, he lives in the city of Alicante.
Here, he began his interest in painting, studying, on his own, the impressionists, Cezanne, Van Gooh,
Matisse etc or Picasso in his different stages, especially the blue and pink.
He met the painter Xavier Soler, a few years before his death, for whom he feels great admiration and decides to study his work.
Around 2001, due to an illness, he began to paint, encouraged by his friends, he showed his work, which
obtains great acceptance through commissions and sales.
He decided to exhibit in 2005 in the Perpetuo Socorro halls. Currently, he prepares exhibitions for Cultural Centers of the province.

COMMENTS

Vicente Pastor is a self-taught painter from Alicante with great talent, whose work is an original symbiosis of
naïve and impressionist styles, with the constant, in his painting, of the omnipresence of Mediterranean colours and
light, he always surprises us with his particular vision of the Alicante landscape.

I enjoy Vicente Pastor Navarrete's painting in its breadth of styles and originality even when he recreates motifs already seen.
I feel and admire through the painter's eyes the hidden beauty of the simple things of everyday life
and I feel the need to return to them again and again.
I like the combination of colors he uses and the variety of tones only imaginable in a
true artist who finds in his surroundings the reason to create.
He has found the infinite source of creation.

Vicente Pastor is a versatile artist who likes to vary the theme of his canvases, without it being possible to say that any theme dominates over the others, although they are all united by the color and light that the artist prints on all his work.
