Vicente's career began early, when at the age of seven, he discovered his artistic vocation. This skill grew over the years, even while juggling his professional activities. During the early hours of the morning, his favorite time to create, he sculpted, portraying people in everyday scenes. This resulted in the strong social content of his work.
Vicente found inspiration at different times. From lively conversations at parties to quiet contemplation, realizing potential themes for new sculptures. His sources of inspiration included photographs, everyday situations and reports he read or watched.
A distinctive aspect of Vicente Silva's sculptures is the characteristic of the feet, which are disproportionately large in relation to the bodies portrayed. He interprets this as a symbol of freedom. The foot, for him, has a double meaning: it represents firmness, the base that supports the person, as well as the freedom to go wherever you want.
