Georgi Veniaminov

Born in Gabrovo, studied in Tryavna, lives in Tsareva Livada village, the artist
Georgi Veniaminov is with all his heart and soul with the spirit of the average
Balkan - a sacred place for the Bulgarians, the old capital Veliko Tarnovo, with
its picturesque Revival towns and villages, where for Centuries kept the traditions
and culture of our people, and monasteryes, fertilizer in the tradition of
Bizantine Civilization.

Although Georgi is conteporary artist, the genetic code of tradition died inspiration
of the author. Bulgarian icon painting and church enterd in the prolific nature of
his work. His icon style inspired by our old master painters.

In the way of the home atmosphere I will exanine the art of Georgi Veniaminov art
with a lot of Bulgarian spirit. He is looking after tradition, but its inspiration makes him a genuine artist with a dinstinctive personality and sound imagery. Strong talent rethink church iconography and his paintings reveal the fantastic world of
mithological simbolism for the Bulgarian village and pural life

His painting art is displayed in two plans. At first, I'd say he paint scenes of country life and in the later - with its Biblical reasons - though naturally goes after,
because all works is fully a religious pastoral where faith of the artist designes
a humiliti for the good light and shadow of evil.

His paintings whisper deep inner optimism that the world is eternal, and Dead is the only
transition in their cosmic mistery.
His works is constructed with free composition structure from different viewpoints, with many
well-disclosed subject matter area.The color purity of the broadcast icon with its primary
colors. They were down stylization, but it marks the character of the style of Georgi. Fabulously
poetic style, where nature, animals and humans live in their harmony.

Plastic threads are another part of his creative inspiration. They are very delicate
and sensitive. The incisor of the master print gentle mental traces. Original creativity of
the artist tryes very succesful graphic composition also. They are expresive, dynamic form.
Maybe it show the dark side of character of the artist. Here is struggling with ambivalence,
compares the impact of the images in light and the darkness and sharpness of the marks
the tragedy of human life.

The artist lives and work in Tsareva Livada village, Dryanovo region. There is something
as a Renaissance in the spirit of Georgi, something pure Bulgarian wich often makes
plastic talent of the artist even stronger and deeper.

GEORGI VENIAMINOV

Born on december 30, 1965 in town Gabrovo.
Has finished high School of fine arts in town Tryavna, specialization "Interior design" in 1984.
Work in the field of Painting, Printmaking and Woodcarving. His painting and graphics are in
galleryes and private collections in Bulgaria, Germny, Israel, Switzerland
