ÖZGEÇMİŞ
-Sanatçı 1964 yılında Eskişehir’de doğdu.
-1981 Ankara Mustafa Kemal Lisesinden mezun oldu.
-1981-83 Gazi Üniversitesi Resim bölümünde eğitim gördü.
-1983-87 Hacettepe S.İ.Y.O.nu bitirdi.
-1988 ARTURA sanat atölyesini kurdu.
-1990-2000 yılları arasında resimleri, Gazi Müzesi, SPK(Sermaye Piyasaları Kurumu),Vakıf Bank, Devlet Resim ve Heykel Müzesi, İMKB(İstanbul Menkul Kıymetler Borsası),İMOGA İstanbul, Devrim Erbil Müzesi,Doğuş Üniversitesi Müzesi,MKM(Beşiktaş Çağdaş), ÇAĞSAV(Çağdaş Sanatlar Vakfı), v.b.Kurumlara alındı.
-2000-2006 yılları arasında BRHD(Birleşmiş ressamlar ve heykeltıraşlar derneği)inde 3 dönem yöneticilik yaptı. Bu dönemde BRHD SANAT dergisinin editörlüğünü yaptı.
-2002 yılından itibaren Anadolu Ateşi Dans Topluluğunun deri kostümlerinin tasarım ve uygulamalarını yaptı.
-2005 yılında Alaçatı’da ARTURA GALERİ’yi açtı.
-2006 yılında 20 sanatçının katıldığı TERAKOTA WORK SHOP atölye çalışmaları ve sergisini düzenledi.
-2007 yılında 5 Üniversitede 60 sanatçının çalıştığı GRAVÜR WORK SHOP atölye çalışmalarını ve sergilerini düzenledi.
-2008 Ankara Batıbirlik Sanat Galerisinde GRAVÜR WORKSHOP sergisini düzenledi.
-2009 SCULPTURE WORKSHOP çalışmalarını başlattı.
-2010 beşiktaş çağdaş "SCULPTOR WORKSHOP 1" Sergisini ART SHOW Etkinliğinde açtı etkinliğe 20 heykeltraş katıldı.
-2010 a kadar 17 kişisel sergi açtı.
Uğur Çalışkan, sanatsal çalışmalarında varoluşçuluk zemininde insanlığın ürettiği tüm bulguları incelemekte(buna yanılsamalarda dahil ) ve yapıtlarında dışa vurmaktadır. Olumlayıcı postmodernist bakış açısına sahip olan sanatçı, modernitenin ürettiği determinist oluşumlara ciddi eleştirilerde bulunmaktadır. Katı ve kesin doğruların insanların yanılsamalarını arttırdığını söyleyen sanatçı, kaosun kendi iç dinamiklerinde doğruyu bir şekilde bulduğuna inanır.

Curriculum Vitae
-Born in Eskisehir in 1964.
-Graduated from Mustafa Kemal High School in Ankara.
-Studied in the Faculty of Fine Arts in Gazi University between 1981 and 1983.
-Transfered to Hacettepe Unıversıty and there graduated from Health Administration Academy in 1987.
-Established Gallery ARTURA in 1985.
-His paintings had been exhibited in Gazi Museum, Capital Markets Board of Turkey, Vakifbank, Istanbul Stock Exchange, IMOGA Istanbul, Museum of Paintings and Sculpture in Ankara, Museum of Erbil, CAGSAV between 1990 and 2000.
-Served in United Painters and Sculptors Association between 2000 and 2006. Edited UPSA magazine during this period.
-Have designed and made the suits of Anatolian Fever Dance Group since 2002.
-Established Galery ARTURA in Alacati in 2005.
-Organized TERAKOTA WORKSHOP and exhibition in which 20 artists involved in 2006.
-Organized ENGRAVING WORKSHOP and exhibition in which 60 artists involved in five universities in 2007
-Organized SCULPTURE WORKSHOP in 2009
-SCULPTOR WORKSHOP exhibition BEŞİKTAŞ ÇAĞDAŞ istanbul 2010
-17 personal exhibitions performed.
