John Russell Sweeney

I live in Queensland, Australia. I am completely self-taught and the themes I focus on are based on my intuitive awareness of deeper and higher realities than the dimension perceived by the physical eye.
My artistic gift was awakened around age 12, at which time I came across the works of Dali, Tanguy, Chirico and similar artists whose imagery resonated very strongly with my own very vivid 'otherworldly' imagination. Through my art, I hope to inspire other hearts to look beyond the humdrumness of the daily grind, into the transcendent, unfolding Reality of which we, no less than the trees and the stars, are each, unique children and fellow creators.
