Maneviyattan etkilenen bir sanat biçimi, özellikle resim, maneviyatçı sanat, ruh sanatı, medyum sanatı veya psişik resim olarak adlandırılır. Manevi sanatın modernizm ve dolayısıyla günümüz sanatı üzerinde önemli bir etkisi oldu.

Georgiana Houghton ve Piet Mondrian iki tanınmış ruhani sanatçıdır. Spiritüalizm ayrıca Vasily Kandinsky, Piet Mondrian, Kasimir Malevich ve František Kupka'nın öncü soyut sanatına ilham kaynağı oldu. “Çöktürülmüş” sanat eserleri

David Duguid (1832-1907), ruh resimlerini "çökeltebilen" ilk iyi bilinen araçtı. Duguid sık sık ruh ressamlarının yardımıyla resim yapsa da, seansları sırasında rehberleri "doğrudan" (çökeltilmiş) resimler de yarattı.
