Tirso Díaz nace en Belvís de la Jara (Toledo), en su adolescencia se traslada con su familia a vivir a Madrid donde ingresa en la Escuela de Bellas Artes de San Fernando.
Abandona los estudios de Bellas Artes y se forma durante cuatro años con el maestro Antonio Santos Viana, desde entonces Tirso no ha dejado de pintar.
Mientras se forma con Viana estudia Delineación en la Escuela de Delineantes de Madrid. Cuando termina estos estudios continúa estudiando Ingeniería Técnica Industrial. Posteriormente ingresa en el Ministerio de Defensa y es destinado a Badajoz, donde vive actualmente y se confiesa un amante del paisaje extremeño y de su gente.
Ha hecho algunas exposiciones en Extremadura y Toledo, aunque no todas las que él quisiera ya que le es difícil contar con una colección adecuada para exponer. Sus obras se exponen permanentemente en galerías de Cáceres, Badajoz, Sevilla, Córdoba, La Coruña, Vigo, Málaga, Toledo, Madrid y Huelva.
Las técnicas que emplea habitualmente son la Acuarela y el Acrílico, en las que ha encontrado un valioso medio de expresión con el que se haya plenamente identificado.
