I'm not going to let a little snow dampen my spirits. Spring might be playing hard to get, but I'm determined to keep the energy high.
Why, you ask? Well, because the exhibition at Hammondgården is just a few days away, and I am feeling relatively prepared. Despite the unpredictable weather, I've been putting in the work over the last few weeks, and I'm excited to finally showcase the results.
It's been a whirlwind of creativity and preparation, but seeing everything come together has been incredibly rewarding. From curating the pieces to perfecting the setup, every detail has been carefully considered to ensure that this exhibition is nothing short of spectacular.

A Rainy Summer: TB's Artistic Odyssey Through the Storm
Porsgrunn, Norway – As the summer of 2023 draws to a close, contemporary pop-art painter TB from Norway reflects on a season marked by endless rain, unfulfilled expectations, and a battle against dwindling motivation.
For TB, this summer was supposed to be a ray of sunshine after a long, dark winter spent pacing the studio, yearning for warmer days and inspiration. However, the reality turned out to be quite the opposite – a nightmare of persistent rainfall that mirrored the artist's internal struggles.
With no clients, no commissions, and an ever-elusive sun, TB found the motivation to create had plummeted. The studio, once a place of vibrant imagination, had turned into a sanctuary of gloom.
"This summer has been a challenge," TB admits. "I'd been eagerly waiting for it, thinking the warmth and sun would bring new life to my art. But all I got was rain and grey skies. It's been tough."
However, amidst the storm, a glimmer of light emerged. TB received the coveted "Editor's Pick" badge on artmajeur.com, a recognition that brought a spark of hope.
"I can't express how much it meant to me," TB says, a hint of enthusiasm in their voice. "It felt like a lifeline during this difficult period. To know that my work touched someone, that it stood out.
As summer edges into autumn, TB is determined to reignite the creative flame. A commitment to try to finish the many works in progress (WIPs) that adorn the studio walls hangs in the air, with the artist admitting that the keyword here is "try."
"In the end, it's not about the weather or the lack of commissions," TB reflects. "It's about perseverance, about continuing to create even when the skies are grey. Soon according to my statistics, a thousand people will have seen my work, and that's not nothing. So, I'm going to say it's okay, one more day."
TB's journey through this rainy summer is a testament to the resilience of artists. It's a reminder that even in the darkest of times, creativity can bloom. So, as TB picks up the brushes and faces the blank canvas, he invites us all to join him on his artistic odyssey through the storm.

From Solitude to Sandy Beaches: The Vibrant World of TB, Norway's Contemporary Pop-Art Visionary
Porsgrunn, Norway – In the heart of Norway, where the icy winds blow and fjords stretch their frigid fingers, emerges an artist whose vibrant creations seem to transport viewers to warmer realms. This is the story of TB, a contemporary pop-art genius who has transformed the pain of a lonely and abusive past into a dazzling world of gritty yet glittery art.
Born and raised in Norway, TB's early years were marked by isolation and adversity. Escaping the harsh realities of life, the young artist found solace in the colourful world of cartoons. These animated characters became more than just images on a screen; they became friends, companions in a tumultuous world. This connection planted the seeds of a lifelong passion for art.
"I spent my childhood alone, surrounded by pain," TB reflects. "But in those cartoons, I found warmth and joy. They became my friends when I had none."
Now, tucked away in a quiet corner of Norway, TB has become a reclusive artist with a vivid imagination that knows no bounds. Dreaming of sandy beaches and sun-soaked shores, the artist's work is a striking contrast to the cold landscapes outside the studio window.
TB's art has often been described as "gritty yet glittery," a fusion of the rough edges of reality and the sparkling allure of dreams. Each piece is a journey through the artist's tumultuous past, a testament to resilience and the human spirit's capacity to find beauty even in the darkest of corners.
The medium of choice for TB is acrylics, a versatile paint that allows for vibrant colours and bold strokes. Yet, he is open to experimenting with any medium that resonates with the soul and brings the vision to life.
"My art is an expression of my longing for a different world, a world filled with warmth, laughter, and the companionship of my beloved cartoons," TB says. "I paint to escape, but I also paint to share my escape with the world."
TB's works have captivated art enthusiasts worldwide, and now, the artist is making a debut on artmajeur.com, the online platform that celebrates creativity in all its forms. Art lovers from around the globe can now immerse themselves in TB's unique universe, where pain and beauty intertwine to create something truly extraordinary.
As TB takes the first step into the virtual art world, the promise of warmer weather and sandy beaches may seem closer than ever. Each stroke of the brush, each splash of colour, is an invitation to escape with this talented artist to a realm where the imagination knows no boundaries.
