I love Hayao Miyazaki's cartoons. His incredibly beautiful and equally crazy cartoon Spirited Away fascinates with its string of fairy-tale transformations. This cartoon knows no division into positive and negative. Each character combines both good and bad, and characters can change significantly as they interact with each other.
My favorite character in the cartoon is the dragon Haku. He is not only a dragon but also a boy, whose name translates as "master of the amber river.
I wanted to draw this fabulous hero. The painting is dominated by blue and white shades, which gives even more mystery to the picture. If you look closely, you can see light touches of pastel pencils. His long mustache moves in the wind. Focused, stern yet kindly gaze stares off into the distance.
Spirited Away is a great cartoon. The director told us a wonderful story of true friendship and love, which helps the heroes to endure all trials and find a place in the world. This painting took part in an exhibition dedicated to the work of Hayao Miyazaki in Minsk. She decorated the walls of Artspace for about a month in the capital of Belarus.
The drawing is titled and signed on the back.
