Sylvain Solaro is a photographer and visual artist whose artistic journey is marked by a constant exploration of the boundaries between image, light and space. Born in 1956, he trained at the Ecole Louis Lumière in Paris, where he perfected his photography skills.
Since the 1980s, Sylvain Solaro has developed a rich and varied artistic practice, navigating between photography, video and installation. His personal and group exhibitions, both in France and abroad, demonstrate his ability to explore new artistic territories and to question the codes of visual representation.
Through his video installations, Sylvain Solaro addresses deep and sometimes disturbing subjects, such as euthanasia and the question of identity. His works captivate the viewer by inviting them to reflect on universal and contemporary themes.
At the same time, his photographs, often characterized by a subtle treatment of light and colors, offer unexpected perspectives on subjects as varied as urban landscapes, human bodies and everyday objects.
Sylvain Solaro is also involved in the field of publishing, with the publication of books and art editions which extend and enrich his artistic approach.
Through his work, Sylvain Solaro continues to explore the multiple dimensions of image and space, challenging conventions and inviting the viewer to question the world around him.
