Susan Monk

Susan was born in Christchurch New Zealand where she immediately showed an interest in Art and Design, After a brief period as a school teacher Susan obtained her diploma in Interior Design from the Chicago Institute of Design. As an interior designer Susan was often commissioned to paint for her clients.

In the early 90's feeling a need to further develop this passion, she moved to London then Italy.In Europe she frequented several professional art classes that enabled her to develop her own unique style and technique. These courses, her designer background and the fabulous tuscan countryside have set the stage for Susan's paintings today.

Her strong sense of colour brings to life the typical tuscan landscapes. In the past few years Susan has exhibted in San Gimignano, Bolgheri (Tuscany) Modica (Sicily) and Auckland New Zealand.Susan paints in water-colour, oils, acrylics.
